9 Week Check-Up

On Friday, November 16th we went to our first doctor's appointment. We were able to have an ultra sound during the first appointment. It was amazing to see our little baby...that looked more like a tadpole at 9 weeks then an actual baby. We were able to see the head, arms, legs, and some of the developing brain. Every once in a while the baby would bounce all over the place. The best part was hearing the heart beat. The heart was beating 180 beats a minute! It was music to our ears! The remainder of the 3 hour doctor's appointment went very well. I have included the pictures of our baby for all to enjoy!

Baby Casterline is on they way....well only 14 1/2 weeks along, but on the way! In mid-October Andrew and I found out we were expecting, but decided to keep it quiet for a while. It has been a rough road for us this year. After two losses due to miscarriages, this bundle of joy is doing wonderful! Praise God! God has shown us this year that our timing is not always his timing.

My idea of being pregnant has not necessarily played out the way I envisioned it would. The first three or four weeks of being pregnant were great! I knew I was pregnant, but felt normal. Week 5 came along and the fun started to begin. I spent 6 or 7 weeks being close friends with the toilet! I did not have Morning sickness....I had All day sickness! Andrew has been an amazing help and support. He had to do all of the grocery shopping and cleaning while I lay in bed feeling terribly helpless and nauseous. Thankfully, I am feeling much better. I ocassionally visit the toilet and feel nauseous but nothing like the prior weeks.

In the coming weeks, we hope that this web page will be a spot where you can watch our baby grow and share with us the joy and excitement of baby Casterline!
